Aymana Akhter (70) died after being hit by a train in Barhatta, Netrokona. The accident took place on the railway line near Abhyatri Itkhala at 3.20 pm on Sunday.
Aymana Akter is the daughter of Ishab Ali of Safar Bangla village of Sahta Union of Barhatta Upazila.
Aymana Akhter, who was traveling from Dhaka to Mohanganj, was pushed by a commuter train at Itkhala, and fell on the side of the railway track. Aymana Akhtar was found injured by the local people who rushed to rescue her and brought her to the hospital where she died on the spot.
Due to the carelessness of Aymana Akhtar, the accident happened due to the railway track being hit by the train. Mohanganj Railway Police Incharge S.M. Alamgir said, I have heard the incident of the old woman being cut down by the train. Postmortem can be confirmed when higher authorities from Mymensingh reach the spot.
